Vinyl Applicator

We are looking for an exceptionally motivated and enthusiastic Vinyl Technician who is a self-starter to be part of our Applications Team. This is a full-time position working Monday to Friday but due to client demand we do have some weekend work and we would prefer someone with a willingness to work regular overtime including Saturdays to meet client requirements.

In order to be successful in this role, you will be expected to:

  • Apply Vinyl cut and digital media to specified vehicles.
  • Ensure all work is performed to the highest possible standard, within the specified timeframe, and within budget.

The ideal applicant will have the following qualifications, knowledge, experience, and personal attributes:

    • Strong skills in every area of vehicle application with high attention to detail. 
    • A great attitude and the ability to be a team player and work independently as the situation requires.
    • A full clean driver's license

Business Analyst

As a Business Analyst at Soar Communications Group, this role involves collecting data, analysing business processes, identifying business problems, and developing solutions to improve the company's processes. You will work closely with the Senior Leadership and various departments to gather relevant information for analysis. By understanding and evaluating the current business processes, you will pinpoint issues that need to be addressed. Your solutions will aim to enhance business operations and ensure that IT solutions align with organisational goals. Additionally, you will serve as a bridge between business needs and IT solutions, facilitating effective communication and collaboration to achieve the company's objectives.

Key responsibilities

  • Assist Senior Business Analyst in gathering information and documenting processes.
  • Help identify define and prioritise business requirements for both internal and external projects
  • Present information from large data sets visually to ensure stakeholders understand the rationale for business cases 
  • Create detailed business analysis, outlining problems, opportunities and solutions for business processes.
  • Present key information and pricing to support business decision making
  • Contribute to systems integration and work with business partners to optimise and enhance our integration
  • Define reporting and alerting requirements
  • Communicate outcomes to internal team for implementation 
  • Develop and provide end user training plans and support.
  • Perform quality assurance processes

About you

  • Proficiency in generating and documenting project requirements
  • Experience in producing use case and user stories
  • Basic project management 
  • Ability to analyse data to draw business-relevant conclusions
  • Excel Advanced/Power BI for data visualisation
  • Experience with Microsoft Teams & CRM experience, PrintIQ, Coreprint and Netsuite is advantageous
  • A degree in IT / Computer Science or Information Systems or similar work experience 
  • Experience in training documentation and implementation planning 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing

Account Manager

As SCG’s Sales Account Manager, your role is to sell print, design and creative solutions to existing and new clients, and meet or exceed your monthly sales targets.  We want you to look at the marketing spend of each client with a view to gaining the lions share, through building trusted working relationships with our clients.

Your skills are critical to the success of the business, but this is a no prima-donna operation. Everyone is here to produce great work and have fun on the way.  This requires accurate quoting, detailed job bags, reasonable timeframes and correct delivery specifications – our production team are experts and here to make your jobs shine and will work for a tight deadline to ensure the job is done.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate as the lead point of contact for all matters relating to your customers
  • Scope and understand your customers marketing and collateral needs and sell SCG print, creative and design solutions to meet those needs.
  • Take a brief and calculate the quotation using PRINT IQ quoting software.
  • Develop a trusted advisor relationship with your key accounts.
  • Develop new business with existing clients and/or identify areas of improvement to exceed sales quotas
  • Monitor the changing requirements of the customer
  • Keep the end in mind when quoting and designing work for clients. 
  • Find cost-effective solutions to stay ahead of our competitors.
  • Conduct ongoing research on competitors’ products, prices and customer bases. 
  • Negotiate on price (within agreed parameters) delivery window and production lead times with customers and production team to obtain the sale
  • Forecast and track key account metrics (e.g., quarterly sales results and annual forecasts)
  • Identify and grow opportunities within client base and collaborate with sales teams to ensure growth attainment.

About You

  • Proven track record as a successful Account Manager
  • Experience in Signage / Large Format print sales an advantage
  • Print quoting experience – Print IQ software or similar 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large accounts
  • Tech savvy

Sales Executive

We are looking for a Sales Executive for our business titles – NZ Marketing Magazine, StopPress and Idealog who will drive revenue growth by managing relationships with advertisers within specific industry verticals.  Working closely with the Editorial Director and CEO, you will be managing the sales pipeline utilising the latest CRM technologies and tools across our business portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve and surpass revenue goals
  • Maintain a well-organised CRM pipeline and forecast accurately
  • Develop prospecting campaigns and engage clients creatively
  • Build and nurture client and agency relationships

About you 

  • Extensive experience with HubSpot
  • Proven sales experience, preferably in media advertising sales
  • Knowledge of the publishing industry
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in reporting utilising Excel, PowerPoint
